Gurgle.

The works in progress have become numerous. 2 scarves, a pair of slipper socks, coasters and at least one cell phone bag are all either on hook or needle right this second. I *will* finish one of the scarves soon. Hopefully the one for my mother because it is painful to me....I have to CUT the yarn at every row end. A two color pattern that would be obvious if I carried the color across under the stitches. I want to get that one done so I don't have to look at the cut pieces anymore....But I picked one of the yarns for her and she picked the other out of my stash and it is a pattern she likes..... On to the other scarf. Lovely fluffy angora blend, black with white flecks that I am mixing with some very fine angora I had been hoarding for quite a while. Will look very nice when (if) I am done. Slipper things are nearly done and I am kinda freaked out that they look nearly identical. It might be time to try making pairs or more than one of the same thing....Oh yeah, coasters. Simple pinwheels but the cotton I am using just looks purty. I am actually knitting a cell phone bag with some off white cotton I had left over from a small purse. Gee, I should do more picture things. Maybe after I get some sleep. I picked up the HP book yesterday evening after hunny had finished it....I shouldn't have. I got to sleep round three and still had to get up at 6. Sleep deprived with yarn implements, the insanity.

As I have had problems...

With the posting interface get yourselves prepared for a profligation of posts. I can't seem to get the pictures I want to upload into the correct places while I am editing a post so I have decided to start doing multiple posts with a maximum of two pictures at a time. I have a few more things from my past to post about so I may be doing quite alot of posting over the next few days, Children and spousal unit allowing..... To start this off right, I also make jewelry and other sparkly things so here is one of the things I have strung together. I made it for my other half and it looks mahvelous. The stones are labradorite, Chec glass and nickel spacers. The clasp has triple spirals in a celtic design on both halves. More about the hooks after I stuff food like things into my mouth.

This one is sparkly and holds my phone. shiny, black and happy. Also ....Knit.













A felted ball, filled with plastic pony beads so I could put it in the dryer. It makes a nice *SCRUNCH* noise when you squeeze it.

I think I will go back to my hook now, tata for tonight.

The bag, she is done.

So the bag of holes has been finished and washe. Luckily the cotton was coclorfast and I didn't end up with a mud colored bag... Since that is done I have finished one other project and started three more. The finished object is a very small hamster....I was intent on finishing it because the pieces were driving me buggy....Thing is just about the size of my thumb. I will post pictures after the intended recipient has it in her hands. The next three things are as follows....A small stuffed turtle, a scarf for my mother and a scarf for me... Since I don't feel like working on any of them right this second I am making a coaster using some of the left over rainbow cotton. Whew. I also have to do dishes, cook dinner and go to a family outing today.... I think I need more coffee.

I got a request from a small person so I had to put down the bagand make this....

I set out to get pictures of the bag in progress and I did.

This is the base at nearly done, I have 1 row of rainbow to finish and one strip of white to do.

Holes

I am crocheting a bag of holes. A rainbow bag of holes. I was madly hunting for a comprehensible and adjustable ripple pattern when I realized there was a stitch I hadn't actively played with buried in the crazies I was looking at. A dc decrease. I decided to muddle through and make a few stitches to see what it would look like in a pattern. It makes holes.(= I guess you could call them eyelets but hey, whose typing here. I had a couple of balls of white sugar and cream cotton and had just recently bought two balls of rainbow, ombre. I set them side by side and says to myself, This will work. as soon as I get to my camera I will take a couple of pictures and try to write up the pattern for ya'll. Anyone actually reading this that is.

Ten stitches

Ten stitches and no-one has to die. Ten little half-doubles and there will be no homicide. The smallest is quiet, bottle and toy. First stitch. Mine is crying on her bed because I made her go to her room. Second stitch, third stitch.Biggest is in the livingroom quietly cutting up National Geographic to make a collage. Fourth and fifth stitch. I can soothe the scream raw throat with a cough drop. Sixth, seventh and eighth. My day is almost over, the extra two go home in only an hour.Ninth stitch. I can have some coffee and computer time as soon as hunny comes home. Tenth stitch. Breathing again.

Brain not happy.

Trying to figure out "rippling"... The yarn is starting to split from boing ripped and restarted. I *may* have my stitch, now I just have to figure out how to write it down in order to possibly use it the next time this itch keeps me up till one. Yes, a night where I should have been asleep so I could get up at 5:30 to start my week. Bad muse, no cookie.

Craft

Art and obsession. Is it a need to share the talents we were either born with or worked so hard to achieve. I have a problem with making things as I tend to give them away and I am running out of people to give things to. Small towns and not alot of people that I like.

The listing of the crafts.

I will try to list the crafts that I do, or have done for the purpose of showing exactly how nuts I can be.
I am currently crocheting like a fiend but this has popped up recurringly since I was about 13. I also knit, tie knots (macrame), and can when pressed x-stitch. I also sew and have great respect for those who can quilt. I have the theory and have made one succesful 2'x3' quilt top I didn't do it by hand and I most likely wouldn't be able to do it again....I think I was on some sort of medication at the time. (=
I also do beading, jewelry making and polymer clay.
Recently I tried to make some felt creatures and they didn't turn out too bad. I used premade sheets of felt and hand stitched them. I may do more because the ones that got made were well recieved.
So for now this is the list. I may add more or may go back and obsess over one of these again. One never knows when the muse will strike.

To begin

At the beggining. I have just decided to try to share some of my craft insanity and I have found that this is the place to do it. I have no pictures to post at this time but I probably will at some other time.
The project currently being obsessed over is a pair if fingerless mitts. I have almost finished them and then I can go back to the "leftovers" shawl I have been working on. Oh, I should probably mention that I am DEEPLY immersed in crochet right now but that I do dozens of different crafts. Sometimes I do them all at once which is when My hunny takes the bat out and threatens to whack me....Kidding. But It does get a bit wiry and I can easily forget to do things like the dishes or laundry.
